12-Month Pay Plan: 2025 Summer Paycheck Schedule & Beyond

As you and your colleagues approach the 2024-2025 school year, keep informed about key information regarding the summer paycheck distribution schedule for employees enrolled in the 12-Month Pay Plan option. Please take a moment to review the details below to ensure you are prepared for the 2025 summer.

2025 Summer Paycheck Schedule

For the 2024-2025 school year, summer paychecks will be distributed in five equal installments. Please note that the last regular paycheck of the school year and the first summer paycheck will be issued on the same date on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Here is the schedule for the upcoming 2025 summer:

  • Friday, June 6, 2025 (Last Regular Paycheck & First Summer Paycheck)

  • Friday, June 20, 2025

  • Thursday, July 3, 2025

  • Friday, July 18, 2025

  • Friday, August 1, 2025 (Last Summer Paycheck)

Please note that summer paychecks may be more or less than your regular check based on fluctuations in your net pay. All money deducted will be paid out.

 

Understanding the 12-Month Pay Plan Distribution Calculation

The 12-Month Pay Plan distribution for the 2024-2025 school year will continue as it has in previous years, with 15.38% of your net pay being allocated for this purpose. Here’s a breakdown of how this calculation works:

 

Example of Withholding Calculation

  • Biweekly Gross Pay: $2,334.17

  • Less Taxes and Insurance Deductions: ($705.72)

  • Net of Check: $1,628.45

  • Less 12-Month Pay Opt Deductions (15.38%): ($250.46)

  • Biweekly Net Pay: $1,377.99

 

Example of Disbursement Calculation

  • Biweekly 12-Month Pay Opt Deduction: $250.46

  • Number of Pay Periods: 22

  • Total of Withholdings: $5,510.12

  • Number of Disbursements: 5

  • Amount of Each June & July Disbursement: $1,102.02

 

To review summer pay on your paystub (during the summer months), look for the description line item labeled “S985 12mo Pay Opt”. Additionally, please note that there will be no tax deductions from the summer paychecks.

 

12-Month Pay Plan Enrollment

If you were unenrolled from or received a payout for the 12-Month Pay Plan for any reason (such as leave status, re-hiring, voluntary resignation, or inactive status) during the 2023-2024 school year and wish to participate in the 12-Month Pay Plan for the 2024-2025 school year, you must re-enroll by submitting the 12-Month Pay Plan Enrollment Form. The deadline to enroll in the 12-Month Pay Plan option for the 2024-2025 school year is Friday, August 30, 2024

 

To confirm your enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year, please review your first paycheck on Friday, August 16, 2024, or Friday, August 30, 2024, and check for the “Pay Opt 12mo” deduction in the “After-Tax Deductions” column on your paystub. If you do not see this deduction, please email SchoolCentralPayroll@nashville.gov  by Thursday, September 4, 2024, to confirm your enrollment. Please note that corrections cannot be made after September 4, 2024.
