Why Attend?
The Professional Educators Collaborative Conferencing Act (PECCA) gives educators the opportunity to have a voice in their working conditions through collaborative conferencing. Understanding the PECCA process is essential as you and your colleagues work together to protect and strengthen the rights and benefits that impact educators across MNPS.
During this session, participants will:
Learn what PECCA is and how the collaborative conferencing process works. Understand why PECCA is important for educators and our profession. Discuss the role MNEA members play in educating and engaging colleagues. Practice effective ways to have conversations about PECCA with fellow educators. Receive campaign resources, including the PECCA survey link and informational materials. Review important dates, campaign milestones, and next steps leading up to the vote.
Every conversation matters. Whether you're speaking with a new educator or a veteran colleague, your ability to clearly explain PECCA can make a meaningful difference. This session will provide practical talking points, strategies for answering common questions, and resources you can use throughout the campaign.
Together, you and your colleagues can ensure every educator has the information needed to make an informed decision and participate in the PECCA process.
Look forward to seeing you on August 5th, from 5:00โ7:00 PM at the MNEA Building as you and your colleagues prepare for a successful campaign and continue working to strengthen the collective voice of MNPS educators. Registration: https://ow.ly/l2Tx50Zsvgx
