Pay Updates
Pay Increase
Paychecks for MNPS employees are issued by Metro Government. Changing the pay amounts for all MNPS employees – both certificated and support – is a lengthy process. Metro Government will finish building the necessary programming for all the pay changes by the week of August 8th.
As of July 1, certificated staff received a 4% cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) and a step increase. Support staff pay increases are complex and involve the creation of new pay schedules. You can find the new pay schedules for all staff here: mnps.org/careers/resources
Even though the pay increase went into effect on July 1, it is likely to be reflected on paychecks in September. At that time, retro pay will be issued, and employees will be paid any backpay owed since July 1.
Summer Professional Development Pay
Some summer professional development (PD) had both synchronous and asynchronous components. Tracking participation/completion of PD with both synchronous and asynchronous work can be more involved than PD that is completely synchronous.
Attendance will be completed by session facilitators when synchronous and asynchronous work completion has been verified. Staff can check HCM to see if their attendance and course completion is documented. A video that demonstrates how to review your professional development transcript in HCM can be accessed using this SharePoint link. You must log in with your MNPS credentials to access the link.
If PD attendance is complete in HCM by Monday, August 8, PD pay will be on the August 19 paychecks.
If PD attendance is completed in HCM learning after August 8, then payments will occur on future paychecks. The goal is that all PD pay is completed by September 16.
