Nullification, Pacing, and Professional Development Points
At the special-called State Board of Education (SBE) meeting on Monday, April 12th, the SBE voted to make several adjustments to Educator Evaluation Policy 5.201 to address the impact of nullification on professional development points (PDPs) and evaluation pacing.
Teachers will now be able to use their most recently available evaluation score to determine observation pacing for the 2021-22 school year.
All teachers who receive an evaluation score for the 2020-21 school year will be awarded the maximum number of PDPs, regardless of their decision to nullify.
With questions regarding nullification, please contact TEAM.Questions@tn.gov.
